Today we where just working on our websites the whole period and working on other missing work too.
Today we all went on google sites and started to make websites. We basiclly did it the whole period and the whole period I got so lost because they were going a little too fast.
Today is the Wednesday Challenge. We got set up in pars this time. I pared up with Eirn. The gaol is to make a perfect square out of cardboard. When we got up in pars we grabed a peice of cardboard, exacto blade, rules and started to cut it out. We didn't get to take a picture of it so the next day Eirn and I took a selfie with the square.
Today Dr. Neat said that we should use our own gmail accouts instead of the one that the school gives us. So we're using our gmails to download a picture to the computer to put on our websites. And then after that we went on google sites to make another new website. Mr. Miller was showing us how to do it on the projector. The only problem is that he was going a little bit too fast about the hole class
Today we had a substitute. So what we did was watch a 2017 Robotics Compitition Video. After we watched it the vetrans explained what the video was all about. In a short version of explaining it is it's a huge version of the 3D board game Rat Trap LOL.
Today I had a weird type of food poisoning so I couldn't really focus in class I kept knocking out so this journal entry is from me on 1/18/17. Anyways Yesterday we were reviewing and learning more about google.sites. We added pictures, text boxes, adding effects to the background of our sites, and to add links. There was more but like I said I couldn't focus.
Today was the Wednesday Challenge so we had to get new groups. Our group had to make a device made out of the pieces provided to our group. The things were a pencil, two straws, three strings, two popsicle's, two rubber bands, and three paperclips. The goal is to make a device that can pick up a golf ball a.K.a. The Ebola Ball from one of the bags and carry it to the other. We only had 20 minutes to make it. After 20 minutes we had to test it. our Team got second place on time.
Today we all watched a robotics video in the begining of class. After that I really needed to get my web site all put up on the net. Erin tried to help, she did help a little bit but it still couldn't get on the web. So tomorrow I'm going to ask kurk and see if he can help.

Today we all were working on our websites the whole class period. What I heard is if we're done with our websites completely we get to start working on our cars we're going to make. I can't wait to make them. I have an idea to make mine into a nissan sport car form of style. I don't know yet.
Today I'm going to start to make my mini car. We all have to make it out of cardboard to qualify. Like like i said last week I'm going to make mine in a nissan sport car style. So what we Need to make the car is whatever we find in the pile on the side of the room. on the side of the room theres alot of cardboard to build the car. I went into the workshop to see the track. The track was about 12-14 feet long and about 1 1/2"-2 feet wide. so I'll defenitly have enough space and run up to get some speed.
Today is the Wednesday Challenge. This Wednesday Challenge we're going to make a type helicopter where you rub your hands like that game called Zip Zap Zoom. What we're making is a prototype made with what ever we find in the classroom. The prototype was made out of cardboard and a 7 1/4" stick. We messured the propellers that made about 5 inches. After messuring everything we got the duck tape and started to put it all together. The real thing will be made out of balsa wood and carbon fiber tubes.
Today is friday. Thank god. Anyways friday also means that the veterans showed us the video again :[. They where talking and explaining everything they've done so far for the compitition.
Today I'm going to be finishing my car. So far it's the best looking one in the class in my perspective. All I need to do is put the axles on it and I'll be done with it. Then the final test is to race it down the race track. it took about 6 days to finish it.
Today is the wednesday challenge. this wednesday challenge we're trying to make a another fidget toy and it has to be less that 50 cents. Nick and were in our group. Our fidget toy is a very small cardboard box that has silly putty inside of it. It lays down opened face up and it's shaped into a rectangle. inside of the box is side is filled with silly putty and it come with a lid.

Today is the race and I can't wait to race it on the track. I got it to go straight down it. I've been testing it repeatedly to get it perfect. When I got into the workshop the measurement was almost perfect. The width was too big so I have to take apart the whole thing and trim the body and the axle of the wheels. I didn't take any videos of it sadly but i got it fix now. All i have to do is to messure it in the box again and hop it fits this time.
Today the Robot Making Group(?) put up the video of the Robotics Robot Challenge of 2017 again once more. They presented what they're working on. They've been working on it for a long time because theres 3 times the amount that they had last year.
In the begining of the period Mr. Miller and Dr. Neat were showing us that all of our websites aren't being completely filled out meaning that some of us are getting low grades. so we worked the whole period on our websites to fill in all the Wednesday Challenges and jornaling.
Today is the wednesday challenge. This wednesday challenge we're going to do something like the marble wednesday challenge. We're going to be passing tubes in to person to person with our hand behind our backs. It was one of the most complicated and hard Wednesday Challenge I've ever done so far. it took us the whole period to get all three catching positions. We had to get all three in a row.
Today we did our third race and this time I got a video of it. it was pretty bad it didn't go stright this time sadly.
Today we were watching the vetrans drive around there rc robot for the compitition and i got a video of them explaining the whole thing.
This is my first journal after my week 1/2 suspention lol. Ok so what we did today was just to work on our websites.
Today is hump day and it's the Wednesday Challenge. I'm going to be a vetran for the whole group this Wednesday Challenge. Mostly because I've done this before in summmer school. I beraly remember how we made it but I remember most of it so I'm going to have to work with that. This Wednesday Challenge we're going to make a boat tail. A boat tail is the bottom part of the fuslage on a rocket. We're going to be using alot of math for this project uugh. And I really hate math. I guess I'm going to have to deal with it. to win we have to make it fit. In other words it has to be perfect. to do that I made a mold to make it perfect. I also made a sketch up of it.
Today is the wednesday challenge. We have to make a small box that can fit a Pringle inside of a box that has to be smaller than 3 by 5 inches. Once we do that we're goinng to be mailing it from La Canada to CV. By doing so we have to make the box that can support the Pringle so it dosen't break when Dr. Neat mails are boxes.
Today was the Wednesday challenge. this Wednesday challenge in our group is Nick and me. We have to make a small box to mail a chip and the box has to be made so the chip doesn't break. Ours is going to be circular or a rectangle that is going to hold the chip right in place without breaking it I think we have to make a sketch up for that other group as well or we have to make a schedule for ourselves and then make it out of cardboard I forgot the rest of the details so. I'm going to be working on the box design alot so the whole entry here is the entire week worth of the Wednesda Challenge.

In the begining of class today we watched a video about adrone that got sent to Mars. the robot was able to disassemble and land on the planet. So waht we're doing today is just updating our websites sense we've been busy with the boxes.

Today we just talked about the wednesday challenge yesterday. i wasn't there so I didn't understand what was going on half the time. but i got to see the the robot that there using for the 2017 robot war or some thing like that. Look at the video. \/
Today were trying to figure out where we are today. We're seeing where we are on our website, Wednesday Challenges, etc. Right now I'm making a sketchup of a skateboard we're going to make.
Today were just catching up on all our work.
Today was a block schedule so we had two hours for three classes. So we gotta catch up on all our work. and kevin got to show us how to make a sketch up of our skateboards.

In the beginning of class Dr. Neat I guess wanted to show us a video for fun. It was called the nasa precision landing technologies or some. It was a rocket taking off and landing. It was pretty impressive. Plus Kevin showed the whole class how to make a fancy skateboard on Sketchup.
So today I got my longboard printed out they came peice by peice on a regular sheets of paper. Rghit now I'm going to be cutting them out to get the mold shape for the board.
today I'm finally able to make my skateboard. first i have to make it out of cardboard. Dr. Neat and Mr. Miller gave us instructions to make the board stronger and to measure and cut out the sheets of cardboard.
Well its been a week or so sense I've logged in on my loptop. Anyways today is the Wednesday Challenge. We're trying to see if we can figure out how many boards we can make out of a 5 by 5 foot sheet of wood. And figuring out how many inches are left (waste).
Today I guess everyone is just catching up on all of our work cause Mr. Miller was talking about grades and stuff. so i'm finishing up on my website.
Today is the wedne/sday challenge. This week we're making a paper airplanes. We have to explain how to make it ours so the other group can see how to make it. Then the other group does the same thing. When all that happens we're going to see whos can go the farthest off the quad into the pool. Winner gets an +A.
Today were just catching up on some work for class. I'm working on getting Nick to check if he turned in the instructions to make the paper airplanes. He's not here and it's stressing me out a bit cause I feel like I'm falling behind in class but I'll try to manage.

I haven't been on this website lately so I'm going to make this short. The entire time I've been working on my board. I've been sanding it, spray painting it, glossing it, and letting it dry. I brought my trucks but I'm not sure I'm going to finish on time tho, but if I do I brought my skateboard tucks for the board. So I'm extremly hyped and can't wait to see how it came out. I copied a design that I made a long time ago but made it a little better. I got some pictures in the processof making it.
